This Privacy Policy explains how SmartTract LLC ("SmartTract," "we," "our," "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the SmartTract app, website, and related services (the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to this Policy.

Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account & contact info: email address, password (hashed), display name.
  • Profile & app inputs: routines, notes, preferences, support messages.
  • Transactions: in-app purchase metadata (via Apple/Google) or store orders (handled by our commerce provider).

Information collected automatically

  • Usage & device data: app interactions, pages/screens, crash logs, performance metrics, device model, OS, app version, language, time zone, IP address, and a unique identifier.
  • Approximate location: derived from IP or device settings (if enabled).
  • Cookies/SDKs: web cookies and mobile SDKs for analytics, performance, and essential functions.

Some data is required to provide the Services. If you do not provide it, certain features may not work.

How We Use Information (Purposes)

  • Provide & maintain the Services (create/secure accounts, core functionality).
  • Improve & personalize features, measure performance, fix bugs.
  • Customer support and to respond to inquiries.
  • Security & fraud prevention, and to enforce our terms.
  • Communications about updates and features (you can opt out of non-essential marketing).
  • Compliance with legal obligations and reasonable requests from authorities.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with:

  • Service providers (processors): hosting/cloud, analytics, logging/crash reporting, customer support, email delivery, payment/commerce, and anti-fraud—under contract and our instructions.
  • Payment & app store platforms: to process purchases and manage subscriptions.
  • Legal & safety: if required by law, to enforce terms, or to protect users and the public.
  • Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

International Transfers

We store data in the United States and may process it in other countries where our providers operate. For EEA/UK data, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) where required.

Retention

  • Account data: for as long as your account is active and a reasonable period afterward (e.g., 24 months) to support you and maintain records.
  • Usage logs & analytics: typically 12–24 months.
  • Transaction records: as required by tax/accounting law (often 6–7 years).

We may anonymize/de-identify data and retain it longer for analytics and safety.

California Privacy (CCPA/CPRA)

For California residents, in the past 12 months we may have collected the following categories:

  • Identifiers: email, device identifiers, IP address.
  • Internet/electronic activity: usage, logs, interactions.
  • Commercial information: purchase metadata.
  • Geolocation: approximate location.
  • Inferences: basic preferences derived from usage (if applicable).

Sources: you, your device, app stores, service providers. Purposes: to provide/secure the Services, analytics, debugging, internal research, quality assurance, and improvements. We disclose to service providers for business purposes as described. We do not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; if we enable such features later, we will provide a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" option.

Security

We use organizational and technical measures appropriate to the risk (e.g., encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege, monitoring). No system is 100% secure—please use strong, unique passwords and keep devices updated.

Children's Privacy

The Services are not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has provided data, contact us to request deletion.

Third-Party Services (Examples)

  • Google Analytics / Firebase Analytics: usage metrics and app performance.
  • Crashlytics / logging: app stability and debugging.
  • Cloud hosting/storage: service operation and backups.
  • Commerce/payment provider(s): order processing and fraud prevention.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy and contractual terms with us.
